Combined Motions

This error occurs when more than one motion is requested in a single pdf document and these multiple motion requests were not selected from the “Available Events” list in CM/ECF.

SOLUTION
Make sure that all motions requested in the pdf document are selected from the “Available List” of events in CM/ECF and are seen in the “Select Events” text box.

To select more than one event from the “Available Events” list, select the first event and then hold down the control key on your keyboard and then select the second event from the list.

Corrective Entries

The CM/ECF system allows court personnel to edit errors made in a docket entry. Besides making the appropriate corrections, the Court will notify the filer by entering a “CORRECTIVE ENTRY” event on the docket sheet. This entry officially records substantive errors on the docket sheet and allows the distribution of the correct information to the participants who originally received the erroneous information. When necessary, the filer may be asked to re-file the document.

Search Menus & Events

Occasionally filers have difficulty locating an event in CM/ECF that accurately describes the document they are attempting to file.  The search option is designed to assist filers in locating the proper filing event.
