This error occurs when the PDF document is filed in the wrong bankruptcy case.

When this error occurs, a Case Administrator of the Bankruptcy Court will issue a Deficiency Notice stating that, " The PDF is filed in the incorrect case. The document in this case is stricken and will need to be filed in the correct case."

SOLUTIONS:
Make sure that after you have entered the case number into CM/ECF, that you check the case name and number on the following screen to make sure that you are filing your document in the correct case.

Make sure that when you create or attach a pdf in CM/ECF, that you open and view the document before it is attached and filed on the system. SEE “HOW TO BROWSE AND ATTACH A PDF DOCUMENT INSTRUCTIONS” UNDER INCORRECT PDF
