Effective November 29, 2024, the U.S. Postal Service temporarily suspended international mail destined for Canada. The decision was made in response to the foreign postal operator indicating their inability to process or deliver international mail or services because of the ongoing national strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. Recipients in Canada have not received court-issued notices since November 15, 2024, and will not receive them until the strike is over. Currently, electronic bankruptcy noticing through the BNC is not an option for international recipients, thus courts should not assume that a Canadian recipient has received notice by other means (i.e., electronic notice).
