Debtors sought to enjoin Ford Motor Credit from repossessing their car after Ford obtained relief from the stay to do so. The court denied the injunction, finding that debtor's purported lack of notice did not demonstrate that their interests were harmed

Debtor sold property for bank pre-petition but failed to turn over proceeds, instead paying its own creditors. Trustee filed avoidance/preference actions against those creditors. As between bank and trustee, court held the recovered funds belong to bank

(1) In determining whether a judicial lien may be avoided under section 522(f), hypothetical costs of sale may not be deducted from the debtor's equity in the property. (2) Only the portion of the lien that actually impairs the exemption may be avoided

While the bankruptcy court believed §§ 362 and 544 define secured creditors' rights, it was bound by the district court's Mahloch and Anderson rulings giving creditors liens on rents & profits even if the creditors had no perfected interest therein

Court reconsidered order denying debtors' post-confirmation plan modification, reversing itself and permitting modification, holding that compelling reasons existed in this case to deviate from enforcing the parties' negotiated plan provisions

Plaintiffs, who are co-debtors with the bankruptcy debtor on a bank loan, may not assert the marshaling doctrine in the bank's efforts to collect from them on the defaulted loan. The doctrine is valid between creditors, not between creditors & debtors.

The debtor's failure to make mortgage payments on the house his wife lives in entitled the mortgage holder to relief from the stay. It also entitled his wife to pursue sanctions in state court for his failure to uphold his domestic support obligation.

The court granted a motion to reconsider an order of contempt for failure to turn over property of the estate, finding that the movant had complied with the order and purged the contempt. The court also vacated the potential for monetary sanctions.
