2014 Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference
The judges of the Eighth Circuit invite you to join them at the Hilton Omaha August 6 - 8, for the 2014 Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference.
This is a full conference for all judges and members of the bar. Come enjoy the many outstanding educational programs, with more than 42 presenters, covering a broad range of current civil, criminal, bankruptcy, and specialty topics.
The conference will be held in conjunction with the Nebraska Supreme Court, the Nebraska State Bar and the Iowa State Bar Associations, the Eighth Circuit BarAssociation, and the Omaha Bar Association.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. will present a “Virtual Tour of the Supreme Court” on Friday, August 8. Professor Lawrence Lessig, Director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard will be the keynote speaker on Thursday, August 7. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, our Conference luncheon speaker will be President and Director–Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Sherrilyn Ifill. The Eighth Circuit luncheon will include presentation of the American Inns of Court Award and the Richard S. Arnold Awards for Distinguished Service and Lifetime Achievement.
